To relieve the pressure on the limited Support Coordination funding, your team will consist of a Key Support Worker/Mentor and a Support Coordinator.

Your Support Coordinator will concentrate on the daily coordination of your services, plan needs, provider and agency communications, documents and so forth while your Key Support Worker/Mentor will spend time ensuring you have a sound understanding of your plan and the options available to you. They will be your first point of contact and will maintain a strong focus on your continuity of service and any changes to your service needs.

Our mentoring services are designed to work closely with each woman to provide the knowledge and understanding to help her reach for the life she’s always wanted for herself and her family. This service is especially important if there is no Support Coordination in your plan budget.

Women often hold key roles within their families and communities, and we understand that the demands of motherhood, work and life can be uniquely challenging for autistic women. Mentoring can support you to take the next steps forward, whether finding solutions to day-to-day challenges or working together to achieve bigger life goals, in the context of the beautiful complexities of family life.

A key part of this role is supporting women to explore their work and career goals, especially entrepreneurship, and to bring a balance to their lives to make these goals a reality. The role involves building a deep understanding of your family and their needs, and offering the connection and support for you to advocate for yourself so you can feel heard and understood while engaging in personal growth and career development.

Our dedicated Family Support Workers come into your home to provide extra assistance for household routines and key times in the day that feel challenging for your family.

We understand that what you need from our support workers might change from day to day as different demands and challenges come your way. Our role is to help every family member to build their skills for day-to-day activities and to lighten the load when things feel too heavy.

We can also help you as a family to enjoy being out in the community, and to access events and respite.
